This is a video of Carson High School's Marching Cougar band, directed by Jeff Street, and located in China Grove, NC. Their first competition was the Festival of Bands hosted by Ledford High School in Thomasville, held on October 1st, 2011.

The show is named "The Contender" with a boxing theme and featuring music from the Rocky movies.

An all-day event, practice started early Saturday morning and ended around 3:30pm. The Marching Cougars took the field around 6:30pm competing in the 3A division. They won 3 1st place trophies in Color Guard, Percussion, & Marching/Maneuvering. They won 2nd place in Drum Majors, General Effect, & Music.

The next competition is at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
