The host Providence Catholic Celtics won a close one against the Joliet West Tigers by the final of 2-1. The Celtics got their 1st run on a solo HR by LF Kenny King, who also added a triple later in the game. Providence got the winning run on a error, allowing Nick Sanders to score from 3rd base. The Tigers got their lone hit by Kevin Ganzer, who lead off the 5th inning. Joliet West scored their run on a sac fly by Wes A'hearn in the 4th inning.
